Frequently Asked Questions

Do You Conduct Radon Resting?

No, radon testing must be performed by a licensed radon tester. Please contact us for a list of testers in your area.

Is Any Level Of Radon Safe?

The United States EPA set the standard "safe" level for radon in the US at 4.0pcL. However, a level of this amount still has detrimental health effects over time. The World Health Organization, on the other hand, has a maximum radon level on 2.7pcL; considerably lower than that of the United States. Taking this into account, we tell our clients that we aim for the lowest possible radon level possible and guarantee a level below 4.0pcL.

Why Should I Test My Home For Radon?

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States and is prevalent throughout Northern Illinois. The only way to guarantee you are safe is to test to first see if your home is affected. Once tested, you can then make teh decision whether to mitigate or not.
